This 18-hole golf course was designed by Rob O’Friell and is nestled within a private nature reserve, assuring players of exquisite surrounds. This parklands course is easy to walk, with plenty of gorgeous vegetation and even some local animal species (like deer and the Knysna loerie) making their appearance from time to time. This is a busy golf course and booking ahead is essential to avoid disappointment.
The country club has earned some awards over the years and visitors will understand why when they’re enjoying the pristine kikuyu fairways and breath-taking views. Goose Valley Golf Club
With its high standard in golfing and hospitality, the Goose Valley Golf Club is a must for golfing enthusiasts of all handicaps and abilities. From these greens and fairways, stunning views of the Indian Ocean, Keurbooms Lagoon, Tsitsikamma Mountains and Robberg Peninsula can be savoured while trying your hand at this 18-hole course.
Designed by Gary Player, Goose Valley has won numerous awards and has hosted championship competitions. There is a pro shop for kit and branded gear, as well as a clubhouse and restaurant, where fresh ingredients and South African influences are the secret to unforgettable meals. … and Golf Courses in Knysna
Knysna, which is about 25 minutes’ drive from Plett, is also home to some excellent golf courses. Pezula and Simola are both 18-hole courses that are renowned amongst keen golfers around the world for their excellent conditions and challenging layout. Pezula was designed by David Dale and Ronald Fream and is considered to be one of the most scenic golf courses on earth.
The clubhouse and other facilities are top-notch, assuring visitors of something extra. Simola was designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus and is renowned for its five par-5’s and five par-3’s. It is surrounded by the green hills of Knysna and offers players access to the pro shop, driving range and the hotel, which is home to a fantastic restaurant.
